Prince Albert
Prince Albert is situated on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River with rich agricultural land to the South and the boreal forest to the North. Although Prince Albert is centrally located in Saskatchewan, Canada, it is the most northern city in the province. This physical location has led to the creation of the slogan "Gateway to the North."
Centre for Saskatchewan's forestry and pulp and paper industry and known for its agriculture, fishing, trapping, mining and oil, Prince Albert is the third-largest city in the province, and the last major centre along the route to the resources of northern Saskatchewan. Prince Albert National Park is located just 51 km north of the city and contains a huge wealth of lakes, forest, and wildlife. The 'Forest Capital of Canada' is located in a transition zone between the aspen parkland and boreal forest biomes.
